Ingredients
Biscuit
200g Butter
75g Sugar
175g gluten free plain flour
25g of cocoa powder
50g of Gluten Free Corn Flakes
1/4 Cup of Chopped Walnuts plus a small handful saved to top biscuits
1 Dessert Spoon Golden Syrup
Icing
Mayvers Super Spread Cacao
Milk Chocolate/ Dark Chocolate of choice to drizzle
Teaspoon of raw sugar (optional)
Method
Soften butter, add sugar and beat until creamy
Mix in the flour, and cocoa and fold in Corn Flakes, golden syrup and walnuts
Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased oven tray and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees
Remove the afghans from oven and leave to cool before icing
For the icing, place a small teaspoon of super cacao spread on top and sprinkle the walnuts on top
Melt the chocolate and drizzle the chocolate over the top of the biscuits
Sprinkle some raw sugar over the biscuits
